After finishing the 2022-23 NBA campaign as the eighth seed in the Western Conference, the Wolves dominated this year as the number-one team in the West for a good couple of weeks. The team has since suffered the loss of All-Star big man Karl-Anthony Towns due to injury but still remains third in the West. Had KAT stayed healthy, the Wolves probably would’ve been able to hold their spot as the top dog in the West to this day. But despite the injury to Towns, it has been Anthony Edwards who has played the role of a catalyst to perfection this season. Edwards has been averaging 26.4 points, 5.5 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game as per StatMuse. And given the wave of momentum he has behind him, he is showing no sign of plateauing anytime soon. However, those numbers do not do justice to how crucial Edwards has been to the team. The 6’5 guard took over games whenever the team needed someone to score clutch points.
