Owen Hargreaves believes Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson would be a solid signing for
Liverpool or
Chelsea this summer . The 26-year-old has impressed at Fulham this season and registered his sixth
Premier League assist of the season in the 3-0 win over
Tottenham last Sunday. The
United States international has been linked with both Liverpool and Chelsea ahead of the summer transfer window. And Hargreaves believes Robinson is showing that he is capable of performing at an ‘elite level’. ‘To get a full-back that can cover that much distance is tough,’ Hargreaves told Premier League Productions. ‘He is almost covering the whole left-hand side on his own. ‘But if you can get these numbers, if you can get six assists by March, you put yourself in an elite category. He is performing at an elite level. He is always fit and always plays. I think getting assists, he will be absolutely delighted with the numbers. Asked if Robinson could play for a top-four Premier League club, Hargreaves replied: ‘I think he could, yeah. ‘I think he has the capacity and capability. He is still relatively a young player. If he is adding those types of numbers in a team that isn’t the most attacking, then it makes you think he could step up one more level. ‘I think he is in a good place at Fulham right now, performing very well.’ Former Everton midfielder Leon Osman added: ‘He came through the youth set-up at Everton, where he done his development when I was there. ‘I wouldn’t have believed if you’d said he would develop into this player, physically he’s matured so much which has given him an incredible ability on the pitch.
