Baker will close its Grafton Centre shop as its lease comes to an end. The shop is holding an "everything must go" sale from 10am on Saturday (March 23). Leaflets advertising the sale have been distributed to homes in Cambridge. A company spokesperson said: "We regret to announce that our Cambridge store will be closing its doors for the last time on 4th May. This closure marks the end of a cherished chapter in our history, and we are immensely grateful for the support and loyalty of our customers over the years." Read next:

This spectacular event includes 50% off all jewellery, diamonds included, and thousands of products significantly reduced. "It's our way of saying thank you and providing you with an unmissable opportunity to secure exquisite pieces at half the price. Don't let this final chance to shop our extensive and luxurious collection at unbeatable prices slip away." The Grafton Centre is set to see major redevelopment after Cambridge City Council approved plans in February. The shopping centre and neighbouring Abbeygate House will be partially demolished to build new life science laboratories as well as a new hotel and gym. Some shops will remain after the redevelopment. Richard O’Boyle, chief executive of Pioneer Group, said the redeveloped Grafton Centre will provide five times more jobs with around 60 per cent of the jobs not requiring a degree.
