American burger chain Wendy's has announced plans open a new restaurant in Cambridgeshire. The restaurant will open in Wisbech in April at Horsefair Shopping Centre. Wendy's first opened branches in the
UK in 2021. There are now 30 Wendy's locations in the UK, including one in Brampton which opened in January . A spokesperson for Wendy's said that three new stores to open this year, in Wisbech , Lincoln, and Colchester, will create more than 120 jobs. The spokesperson added that staff can expect "competitive salaries, employee benefits, and opportunities for growth". A spokesperson for the company said: "Alongside this, there is an exclusive range of items tailored to Brits, such as our Avocado Chicken Club, Curry Bean Burger, and chicken nuggets made from whole chicken breast fillet." They added: "Wendy's focus has been on quality since day one and does not cut corners, a commitment illustrated by the brand's iconic square hamburgers. All menu items are made to order and customisable, and ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible. Wendy's delicious salads are prepared fresh daily and sandwiches are served hot off the grill."
