Three men charged for murdering friend over robbery dispute
Three men were charged in the Magistrate's Court in Melaka on Friday for killing their friend in early January.
According to the charge sheet, the accused, S. S Darsan, K. Raja Segaran, and A. Sethu, were jointly charged with committing murder resulting in the death of 41-year-old S. Kumar at a house in Batu Berendam Flats in the Melaka Tengah district on January 5.

US charges Hambali, two Malaysians over Bali, Jakarta bombings
US military prosecutors have filed formal charges against an Indonesian militant and two Malaysians in the 2002 Bali bombings and 2003 Jakarta attack, the Pentagon said Thursday (Jan 21).
The charges were filed nearly 18 years after the three were captured in Thailand and after each has spent more than 14 years in the US military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Health Ministry hopes to double Covid-19 testing capacity to 150,000 daily
The Health Ministry wants to double its Covid-19 testing capacity to 150,000 a day by establishing more laboratories and enhancing collaboration with the private sector.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that on Thursday (Jan 21), adding that at present, the country is able to produce a maximum of 70,000 tests a day.
However, Dr Noor Hisham said the lack of human resources was one reason why the ministry was unable to increase its testing capacity.
