It is an age-old problem for parents who have picky children that they find it difficult to include nutrient-rich vegetables into the kids' diets . Many kids would prefer chicken nuggets and chips to a bowl of peas or cauliflower - but there is a way to include some veg into your meals. One mum, who goes by @abbiemilburn on TikTok , has shared a tasty pasta recipe that incorporates vegetables and a child's love for superheroes into one fun dish. Apple lemon cake recipe that is perfect spring treat The mum said: "If you're looking for a super easy dinner idea for the family then keep watching. This is called Cheesy Hulk Pasta and it's something that I found in a recipe book from forever ago. "I can't remember which book it was but it is brilliant. PS, ignore my shocking sauce-making skills - it all comes together in the end, I promise. "This is also brilliant if you have fussy toddlers or children that don't like to go for their vegetables normally as the veg is mushed up as you can see. It sort of blends the broccoli into the sauce so the sauce turns green and they think it's amazing. "So it's a win win - you have a lovely cheesy sauce and your kids are eating their veggies. So yeah, this dish is basically pasta, broccoli and a homemade sauce. Honestly, if you persevere with the sauce then it absolutely makes it. "Once it's all done, I pop the pasta in an ovenproof dish and pour the sauce on, give it all a good mix and of course, add a good sprinkling of cheese on top. "I whack that in the oven and then look how it comes out - absolutely unreal, the crisp on that cheese was just chef's kiss, amazing. Such an easy dinner idea, save it for future use." Viewers flocked to the comments section to share their joy at finding this recipe as one wrote: "Anything with cheese and I’m there." Another said: "My toddler loves this! I also make it with spinach too." And a third added: "Yum!" We've included a homemade cheese sauce recipe below and when it comes to the pasta and broccoli, just boil and add in as the mum suggested. BBC GoodFood website reads: "This classic, store cupboard white sauce is loaded with strong cheddar cheese – our easy recipe is ready in 15 minutes." Ingredients 500ml milk Four tablespoons of plain flour 50g butter 100g grated strong cheddar - or 50g grated cheddar, 50g crumbled blue cheese Method Pour 500ml milk into a large saucepan and add four tablespoons of plain flour and 50g butter. Turn on the heat to medium and start to whisk the mixture. Keep whisking fast as the butter melts and the mixture comes to the boil – the flour will disappear and the sauce will begin to thicken. Whisk for another 2 mins while the sauce bubbles then stir in 100g grated strong cheddar cheese (or 50g grated cheddar, 50g crumbled blue cheese) until melted. Join the Daily Record
