Former Married at First Sight Australia (MAFS) participant Carolina Santos appeared to take aim at the show's three relationship coaches whilst watching the latest series. Carolina, now 35, was a bride on the reality TV show - airing on E4 in the
UK - in the ninth season, which launched in 2022. She was partnered with groom Dion Giannarelli, now 35, on the show but they didn't end up staying together. Following her own experience, the former cast member teased recently that she's been watching the latest series of MAFS, with the long-running show's eleventh season having concluded on Monday in Australia with its reunion. Instagram Story earlier to share a photo of the episode being played on a TV. The scene on screen showed relationship coaches Alessandra Rampolla, Mel Schilling and John Aiken sitting together at the cast reunion. Carolina had covered their faces with clown emojis though in what appeared to be a criticism of the trio. Alongside the photo, she teased to her followers on the platform in that caption that accompanied it: "Watching my favourite show." She told Yahoo! Lifestyle that "everyone wants to find love" but suggested that's secondary to other motives for signing up for MAFS. She said: "You can see that most people that go on MAFS [either] want to be influencers or they have some sort of business they can leverage from it." Carolina continued by suggesting in the interview that the show - which airs on Nine Network in Australia - has attracted personal trainers, makeup artists and people from "all sorts of businesses that can y'know benefit from being on MAFS". Carolina - who had a romance with co-star Daniel Holmes whilst on MAFS, which continued for a while after the show - added that the success rate on the reality TV show is "lower than going to a bar and meeting someone". The former cast member teased that she would be open to returning to the show though. She said: "I would go back tomorrow if they wanted me." Carolina suggested that she would "play the victim" and said: "Knowing what I know now, I would probably pretend that I'm in love and head over heels for my match, no matter who the hell they give me." The latest series of MAFS launched on E4 in February, a month after it debuted on the Nine Network abroad. It's understood that there are still more than a dozen episodes left to air in the UK, despite the show having now concluded in Australia.
