Liam Gallagher has seemingly revealed one of the other support acts for his upcoming Definitely Maybe tour, which kicks off in just a couple of months time. Fans have become used Liam's updates on X, formerly
Twitter, and the latest gives hint as to who will open for him in June. Back in October, Liam confirmed that he would be celebrating the 30th anniversary of Oasis' debut album Definitely Maybe with a
UK solo tour . Its the first time he will play the band's seminal album in full and support will come from Cast and The View. At the time of the tour announcement, he posted a setlist image - showing all of Definitely Maybe's iconic tracks on it. That includes the likes of Rock 'n' Roll Star, Slide Away, Cigarettes and Alcohol and Columbia, and the tour will also feature a number of Oasis's choice B-sides. Social Media post The new tour will start in Sheffield on June 1, before taking in dates in
London, Cardiff, Glasgow and
Dublin and includes four huge homecoming shows at Manchester's new Co-Op Live Arena. Liam will play the new arena on the 15 and 16 June, and 27 and 28 June. Now, in a exchange with a fan on social media, the Brit Pop legend has said that his youngest son Gene and his band will open for him on the tour. Gene, who plays several instruments including guitar, drums, bass, and even the kazoo, is also the frontman for the recently formed band Villanelle, who will also be playing a number of dates on the summer festival circuit. After a fan asked what the Oasis legend made of his son's band, Liam responded: "There good I'm gonna put them on 1st for DM tour." Though the performer hasn't spoken any further about the comment, it prompted another to label him the 'best dad ever'. In typical Liam Gallagher style, he quipped back: "I wouldn’t go that far but I’m the best 1 he’s got." Last week, Liam moved to reassure fans he was 'not dying' after opening up about his health. The former Oasis frontman is currently on tour with Stone Roses guitar hero John Squire as part of their collaboration album. In an interview with The Sun he said he was having to 'undo' all the partying of his youth and 'get back to reality.' “All that stuff that you thought was cool in the early days . . . it’s time to get healthy" he said. But we’re all going to die, aren’t we?” Liam now prefers early nights and herbal sleeping pills." While it sparked fear amongst fans, he later took to X to play down those fears. He said: "I meant I’m on the DOWNWOODS SIDE you bumbaclart it’s a little crew round my way I’m not dying it’s a dope pledge ffs."
