Singer Raye says being a woman in the
music sector is hellish, adding she has been abused over her looks. The 26-year-old receives a constant barrage of criticism from online trolls , who claim she does not look feminine. Raye revealed: “Being a woman in this thing, you’re critiqued on your appearance alone, and it’s sh*t*. People talk about my weight, people have been saying I don’t look like a woman; really nasty comments that go round and round in your head.” She poured her heart into album My 21st Century Blues, which last month led to her record haul of six Brit Awards in one year, including best artist. She told ELLE magazine: “I was putting out music I hated, working stupidly hard, dealing with trauma and making a lot of bad decisions.
