American media personality and talk show host Andy Cohen has finally issued an apology to
Kate Middleton after he fuelled speculation over her whereabouts before she revealed her
cancer diagnosis. The Princess of Wales revealed her cancer diagnosis last month, with the announcement broadcast around the world following weeks of speculation in regards to her health and whereabouts. Earlier this year she underwent abdominal surgery at The
London Clinic , with speculation rife before it ramped up again after a photo she shared on Mother's Day after it was "manipulated" and hit with a "kill notification" by photo agencies around the globe. Amid the speculation surrounding the Princess, US media personality Mr Cohen, 55, came under
fire after he shared his thoughts on the rumours and speculation of Kate's absence from the spotlight. He also spoke of a nasty theory on his podcast, with this being shared just hours before Kate's shocking announcement was revealed. For all the latest on news, politics, sports, and showbiz from the

Speaking on his SiriusXM radio show, Andy Cohen Live, he said: "I just want to say I am heartbroken by the news about Princess Kate . I think someone on Sky News called me a numpty, and they were right. I wish I had kept my mouth shut." He went on to add that his apology and him finally addressing the topic took a while due to his radio show having a short hiatus. Shortly before Kate unveiled her cancer diagnosis to the world, the Princess of Wales was seen with her husband Prince William at a farm shop in Windsor. At the time, speculation swirled that the Princess had a "body double", with Mr Cohen adding fuel to the fire when he penned: "That ain't Kate...". Stephen Colbert, who hosts The
Late Show, said a "sincere" sorry to Princess Kate. He made fun of her just a few days before she told everyone she had been diagnosed with cancer. Mr Colbert discussed a mean and harsh rumour about the Princess on his show before her diagnosis came out. Speaking on his show, following the news of Kate's cancer diagnosis, Stephen issued an apology when he said: “You know, folks, I don’t know if you have noticed, but we do a lot of shows and I tell a lot of jokes, and I tell jokes about a lot of different things, mostly what everybody’s talking about. "And for the last six weeks to two months, everybody has been talking about the mystery of Kate Middleton’s disappearance from public life. And two weeks ago, we did some jokes about that mystery and all of the reporting about that. "And when I made those jokes, that upset some people and — even before her diagnosis was revealed, and I can understand that. I mean, a lot of my jokes have upset people in the past. And I’m sure some of my jokes will upset people in the future. "But there is a standard that I try to hold myself to. And that is, I do not make light of somebody else’s tragedy."
