BrewBoard, based in Harston, has put forward a premises licence application to the city council. The brewer launched in 2017 and has released over 40 different beers across a range of different styles. Some of its drinks include hop-forward pale ales and IPAs, Kveik-based NEIPAs, as well as dry-hopped lager and vibrant stouts. They are now looking to open a bar in the vacant building at 4-5 Peas Hill. It was previously occupied by home furniture shop Angela Reed who have since closed down. Live and recorded
music, as well as alcohol, would also be provided between these hours. The company added that adequate CCTV would be maintained throughout the premises and all staff would be health and safety trained. They also said that no alcohol will be sold outside of the licensable area, which also hopes to include the small outside space leading to the bar. A decision on the application is due to be made by Cambridge City Council at a later date. The plans can be viewed in full on their licensing portal here .
