United sources have stressed Mainoo's contract is not a current focus and his existing deal includes performance-related incentives. Alejandro Garnacho, Mainoo's FA Youth Cup-winning teammate, received a new contract last April - less than two years after he inked his first professional deal with United in July 2021. Garnacho's previous contract ran until 2024 and United had the option of an additional year, contrary to reports in
