Donald Trump has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. Norwegian far-Right politician Christian Tybring-Gjedde made the nomination following a “historic peace agreement” between the United Arab Emirates and Israel. The leader also praised Mr Trump for resolving other protracted conflicts worldwide and said he has made "tremendous efforts" in brokering peace. “For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees,” Mr Tybring-Gjedde told Fox News. Under the terms of the agreement, which was overseen by Mr Trump, the UAE will sign a series of trade deals and normalise relations with Israel, who in return must suspend its controversial plans to annex parts of the West Bank.
