Selena Gomez has a soft spot for the American Music Awards, with the singer using last year's ceremonies to make her comeback after she took a brief health-related hiatus.
This year's AMAs were no exception, with Gomez performing her new song Wolves for the first time live at Sunday night's awards.
To celebrate the occasion, Gomez stepped onto the red carpet in a Coach leather-jacket minidress and newly-bleached locks.
"So I am blonde now," she captioned an Instagram post of her new hair.
Wolves was Gomez' first live performance of 2017, marking her official return to the stage after she underwent a kidney transplant as part of her lupus treatment earlier this year.
“My kidneys were just done," she told the TODAY show last month about the surgery, calling it a "life-or-death" move.
Julia Michaels, the singer/songwriter who co-wrote Gomez' single Bad Liar, introduced her AMAs performance, calling her “one of the most incredible women I know.”
“She is the epitome of love and strength," Michaels said about Gomez, "And I’m glad I get to call this beautiful person my friend."
