Detectives investigating the fatal
shooting of journalist Lyra McKee have arrested a 27-year-old man under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
The
police Service of Northern
Ireland said the man – who was arrested in Derry/Londonderry on Wednesday morning – had been taken to a police station in Belfast for questioning.

The death of the reporter – described by
Friends as a “rising star” – caused shockwaves around the world.
She is believed to have been the first journalist killed on
British soil in almost 20 years.
Her death helped kick-start political talks leading to the resumption of Stormont power sharing early this year.
