Women, minorities, and veteran-owned businesses, as well as an additional $100 billion in hospital funding and $150 billion more for state and local governments.Schumer (D., N.Y.) tried to discuss a last-minute deal with Secretary of the Treasury Steve Mnuchin on Wednesday, but the efforts failed. Rubio called the decision by Democrats to not accept a straight renewal of funding “absurd” and “ridiculous,” with Congress not due back in session until May 4.
