The number of people who have died in hospital in the
UK after contracting coronavirus has risen by 936 in 24 hours.
The increase consists of 828 in England, 70 in
Scotland, five in Northern
Ireland and 33 in Wales.
The youngest victim in
England was just 22, with the oldest aged 103.
Of the 46 who had no underlying health conditions, the youngest was 35.
UK-wide figures from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) are yet to be published, so the data are taken from each nation’s individual reporting.
It brings the working total to 7,095.
