Stormzy has announced he is rescheduling dates on the Asian leg of his upcoming world tour, due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
The chart-topping grime star had been due to play shows in
Malaysia,
Singapore,
Japan,
China and
South Korea in March, but these have now been postponed due to what he has described as “ongoing health and travel concerns”.
Writing on his
Instagram page, Stormzy explained: “I was seriously looking forward to bringing the [Heavy Is The Head] World tour to Asia and playing some epic sold out shows but due to the ongoing health and travel concerns surrounding the Coronavirus, I’m regrettably having to reschedule this leg of the Tour.”
Although the rescheduled dates are yet to be confirmed, he assured fans that the information “will follow in due course”, adding: “Please contact your local ticket vendor for any further queries. He will be bringing the show to the
UK in September, including three dates at the O2 Arena in London.Next week, Stormzy will be back in the UK for the Brit Awards, where he’s been nominated in three categories, including Album Of The Year.
He’s also set to perform during the show, two years after closing the Brits with a headline-grabbing set that saw him taking aim at then-prime minister
