Morgan took some time to contemplate his future in the weeks after leading England to a historic triumph with their victory over
New Zealand in the final at Lord’s last July. He was in charge for their T20 series win over New Zealand at the back end of last year, when the Irishman indicated he would like to continue in his position at this year’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
