Former NBA stars continued to reflect on Kobe Bryant's life and legacy Monday after his tragic death, remembering how "sharing the court" with him was a "gift."After Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter were tragically killed in a helicopter crash Sunday along with seven others, former NBA star Derek Fisher on Monday added his voice to the outpouring of grief."Sharing the court, a workspace, a life for 13 years, with Kobe, was a gift," Fisher told Good Morning America. "It was a blessing to be able to watch someone on a daily basis strive to be the best at what they do, to be the best in the world at what they do."Off the court, Fisher also reflected on Bryant's "evolution as a husband and as a father and as a man who wanted to impact the community beyond basketball," adding, "I want us to continue to push for what he was most recently striving for in terms of equity and opportunity for young girls."
Former NBA star Scottie Pippen also spoke to GMA Monday to honor Bryant, who he noted was "one of the greatest players I've ever watched on the
basketball court."NBA icons who previously paid tribute to Bryant include Michael Jordan, who remembered him as "one of the greats of the game" as well as an "amazing dad who loved his family deeply." The hosts of GMA reflected on the tragic loss Monday as well, as host Michael Strahan observed, "We're missing something that we can never get back."
