The moment was prompted after Winslet said she'd like to "be" Janney as well as "stroke" and "kiss [her] someday."
Kate Winslet got a little something extra on Sunday night while accepting her Hollywood Film Award.
Winslet was named the recipient of the Hollywood Actress Award for her performance in Woody Allen's latest film, Wonder Wheel.
During her acceptance speech, Winslet noted that she felt honored to be in the same room as such luminaries as Allison Janney. "I know I don't really know you but I know I just want to be you. I do, or just stroke you or something. I mean, we could always kiss, maybe? Maybe?"
Janney, without missing a beat, then headed to the stage, prompting Winslet to remark: " Ah, it's gonna happen! This is an exciting moment!"
Janney, herself an honoree with the Hollywood Supporting Actress Award for her performance in I, Tonya, gave Winslet a kiss before heading back to her seat.

Winslet was presented with the award by her Divergent co-star Shailene Woodley. In Wonder Wheel, she plays a beleaguered wife to a middle-aged carousel operator in the 1950s on Coney Island. She falls for a lifeguard, played by Justin Timberlake, but her life begins to unravel when her husband's estranged daughter shows up and begins pursuing him as well.
James Corden again hosted the awards show, held at the Beverly Hilton. The event, presented by Dick Clark Productions, benefited the Motion Picture & Television Fund, which supports the entertainment community in living and aging well, with dignity and purpose, and in helping each other in times of need.
