Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in front of a record crowd for a WSL match: 38,262 4.59pm GMT
Kim Little, scorer of Arsenal’s first goal, speaks to BT Sport: “We spoke before the game about patience, we knew it would be a hard game, especially with the way they have started the season and with all their fans here. But luckily I got the goal that kicked it off for us, and we got the win. Credit to Tottenham for having us play the match here.” 4.53pm GMT
All over. The first-ever north
London derby in the WSL ends with a well-deserved 2-0 victory for
Arsenal WFC. Hosts Tottenham defended excellently for most of that match - and they needed to - with Danielle Van de Donk in particular causing them all sorts of problems with her vision and passing. Kit Graham passed up a golden one-on-one chance to put the hosts ahead against the run of play in the first half, and eventually Arsenal’s classy forward line wore down their opponents, and won it with goals from Kim Little and Vivienee Miedema.
