A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of a 25-year-old woman was found on Saturday in Worcestershire.
The woman was “unresponsive” when she was found near to a
fire station in Causeway Lane, Upton on Severn, at about 8am, West Mercia
police said.
She was later declared dead.
Police said a 44-year-old man is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of murder.
A police cordon has been put in place and extra officers have been deployed in the area.
Detective Inspector Jim Bayliss said: “Our inquiries are very much in their early stages and at this stage the woman’s death is being treated as suspicious.
“A man has been arrested and is currently in police custody.
“Extra officers will be in the area, both to carry out inquiries and to offer reassurance.”Police said the woman’s next of kin have been informed.Related...
