Prosecutor files charges over 2018 killing of Ján Kuciak and his fiancee, which sparked mass protests
Slovak authorities have charged four people over the murder of an investigative journalist and his fiancee in a case that led to mass
protests against high-level corruption and forced then-prime minister Robert Fico to resign.
A statement by the state prosecutor said the six charges filed over the 2018 killing of Ján Kuciak and his partner, Martina Kušnírová, included premeditated murder.
