ADRIANA LIMA is a Victoria Secret model, who is currently retired from the lingerie catwalk. The 36-year-old started with Victoria’s Secret age 19 in 1999 - but modelled lingerie long before that.
Adriana Lima is a Brazilian model who has walked for Victoria’s Secret, one of the most prestigious lingerie brands in the world.
She has also worked for Maybelline and Kia Motors, but her lingerie modelling is maybe her most famous work.
She is one of the world’s best-paid models, and in 2016 she was reported to earn $10.5 million, or £7.9m, the second highest model pay packet.
The divorced mother-of-two walked for the lingerie brand for 16 years.
However, Lima began her modelling career before this.
At age only 15 she was pictured attending the Ford Models Inc 'Supermodel of the World' award in New York City, which she won age 15.
She was photographed along with fellow models Leanne Spencer, and Tarryn Meaker.
Three years later Lima was on the catwalk modelling lingerie at Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil in a black bra and white underwear.
She appeared at the event modelling the next year too, modelling a blue bra and sarong look.
In 2001 Lima walked for the first time on the Victoria’s Secret runway, modelling a red metallic bra.
Her career highlights at the brand include wearing the fantasy bra twice.
In 2008 she wore the bra for the first time, which was created by American jewellery designer Martin Katz - which had 3,575 black diamonds and was worth $5m.
In 2010 Lima wore the bra again, which this time had 60 carats of white diamonds and 82 carats of topazes and sapphires.
It was worth $2m.
The last time the model stepped on the Victoria Secret catwalk was in 2015.
Most recently Lima was seen attending a 'Train Like an Angel' event at Dogpound on October 3, 2017, in New York City.
