With Piers Morgan hogging the headlines for the past few days, Good Morning Britain’s Andi Peters did his best to divert attention away from his colleague by gifting us a light-hearted moment on Wednesday’s show.

The presenter was fronting a live competition segment from Mongolia on the ITV breakfast show when he fell over while doing a piece to camera.“My producer over there is literally laughing so much,” Andi said after jumping up.

He later added: “As if I couldn’t be making Piers happy enough, I then fall over. This is a nightmare.”
“No it’s joy,” Piers replied. “This is what heaven looks like: Peter’s is in Outer Mongolia falling over, making a backside of himself. Perfect.”Over the last few days, Good Morning Britain has become engulfed in a debate about whether Piers should be fired from the show due to his views on gender.
On Monday, GMB launched a poll asking if the divisive presenter – who currently claims to identify as a “two-spirit penguin” – should be axed.
As of Wednesday, almost half a million votes had been cast, but unfortunately for Piers, 60% of viewers voted for him to be sacked from his presenting role.
The poll was created in reaction to a Change.org campaign to have Piers fired from GMB, calling out what was claimed to be his “dehumanising dismissal of transgender/non-binary/gender-fluid individuals”.
But its creation sparked a rival petition to keep him on GMB “for his common sense approach to life”, which quickly overtook the original campaign – much to the delight of Piers.
He has since claimed the publicity the debate generated has made him “the most talked about breakfast presenter in the world” and would actually lead to him getting a pay rise.
