The radio presenter and his dance partner Dianne Buswell lost out to Viscountess Emma Weymouth and partner Aljaž Škorjanec in Sunday night’s dance-off, which left Dev “gutted”.
Dev and Dianne’s appearance in the bottom two had been a surprise, given their Cha Cha to Sam Smith’s Dancing With A Stranger had scored them 27 points and a mid-table position in the leaderboard. Dev had also emerged as one of the front runners of the competition last week, when his Aladdin-themed Street routine scored 36 out of a possible 40.

“We do our job, but as you can see, there were many people who were saved with lower scores,” Shirley said.
