Regulator said it had ‘serious concerns’ around transparency of BBC’s complaints process
The
BBC attempted to stop an external investigation into Naga Munchetty’s comments about
Donald Trump, prompting the media regulator, Ofcom, to declare it had “serious concerns around the transparency of the BBC’s complaints process”.
The regulator launched the investigation following a number of complaints about the corporation’s original decision to partially uphold a viewer complaint regarding the BBC Breakfast show host, after she was deemed to have expressed a personal view about the US president.
