You finally start feeling like a proper adult once you’ve got something from Le Creuset in your kitchen cupboards – even if it’s just a matching pair of mugs, which is the cheapest of the lot (but still a whopping 15 quid each).
Aldi Launches Le Creuset-Style Cast Iron Cookware – Plus Other Cheaper Alternatives To Buy
But if – like most of us – you struggle to justify forking up over £200 for a luxury casserole dish (even if you can technically afford it), there are plenty of cast iron cookware alternatives on the market.
They look pretty much the same, too, just don’t let your dinner guests get close to the kitchen. Or, if you’re using it to serve up at the table, strategically place a splodge of your food where the Le Creuset logo should be. You’re welcome. Aldi’s dupe stoneware range is back for a second year after selling out in 2018. The range comes in three colours – Country Blue, Traditional Red and Modern Grey – and prices range from £3.49, for a Stoneware Mini Assortment, to £24.99 for a Casserole Dish.
The range is available to pre-order online from Sunday 8 September before it hits stores on Sunday 15 September.
Sainsbury’s Home also has a cast iron cookware range, with prices ranging from £10 for an iron griddle pan to £45 for a 5.3L casserole dish. Top tip: it stocks an orange and red range that resembles the Le Creuset’s Volcanic colourway.
Cooks Professional has a full eight-piece set for £154.99 stocked on Robert Dyas.
Or if you want something slightly higher end, Chasseur is another luxury brand. Its round 3L Casserole Dish costs £75.Related... Rudy Giuliani screams at Piers Morgan in insane TV interview: 'What happened to you, Rudy?'
Jun 04, 2020
Rudy Giuliani just made an appearance on Good Morning Britain with Piers Morgan, and to say it went off the rails would be an understatement. President Trump's personal lawyer participated in what turned out to be a completely bonkers interview on the show on Thursday, which started somewhat normally only to get heated as Morgan grilled Giuliani on Trump tweeting that "when the looting starts, the shooting starts." Giuliani claimed Trump didn't quote a "nutty, horrible racist" on "purpose," but Morgan wasn't buying it, repeatedly calling Giuliani out and asking him why Trump is using "inflammatory language" on Twitter. After many minutes going back and forth on this, the interview finally went fully out of control as Giuliani screamed over Morgan's news coverage and the two traded insults, with Giuliani blasting Morgan as a "liar" and a "failed journalist" after Morgan asked him, "What happened to you, Rudy?" Morgan proceeded to label Giuliani "deranged," "unhinged," and "completely barking mad." As if the whole thing wasn't chaotic enough, they then spent the end of the interview litigating whether Giuliani dropped an F-bomb during the conversation; Giuliani claimed he didn't say live on the air that Morgan "f--ed up," but considering a bleep was added to the Twitter clip posted by Good Morning Britain, the network obviously wasn't convinced. Watch just a small piece of the wild journey below, with more on YouTube.
