Born in Cardiff, Griff Rhys Jones, 64, began his career on the BBC’s Not The Nine O’Clock News, which ran from 1979-82. He went on to develop a
comedy partnership with Mel Smith that lasted 20 years. He is also an Olivier award-winning stage actor. His
UK tour, Where Was I?, starts on 18 January. He is married with two children and lives in Suffolk.
