The legend of
Tacko Fall is growing.
Fall — who went toe-to-toe with
Zion Williamson in the second round of the NCAA Tournament — had a solid first
NBA Summer League game with the
Boston Celtics in Las Vegas.
The 7-foot-7 center had six points, four rebounds and one block in the Celtics’ 96-82 win over the 76ers on Saturday. Whatever you think of the plus-minus stat, Fall was a plus-18 in his 10 minutes of action. He was 3-for-4 from the field, but 0-for-2 from the foul line.
Fall also had one of his signature standing-on-the-ground dunks.
His only block came in the first quarter when he swatted Haywood Highsmith’s layup attempt off the backboard.
Fall, who agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Celtics, averaged 11.1 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.6 blocks last season for Central Florida. The deals are one-year agreements that pay the minimum salary and can be used as two-way contracts.
