The Killers play Glastonbury on Saturday night after their warm-up show at
Cardiff CastleThe Killers paid tribute to the Welsh crowd at their Cardiff Castle show, asking them: "Can you all come and be our crowd tomorrow at Glastonbury?"
The Killers kicked off a weekend of live music being held at Cardiff Castle.
The Las Vegas band, fronted by
Brandon Flowers, played the castle on Friday night before The Manic Street Preachers and Paul Weller play shows on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
The Killers played in Wales last year, rocking out a packed Liberty Stadium in Swansea, and they'll be headlining the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury on Saturday.
The Cardiff crowd loved the band, whose huge hits include Mr Brightside and Somebody Told Me, and Flowers asked them at one point "What's occurin?", a nod to Gavin and Stacey.
Fans of The Killers had been in the city centre since early in the afternoon, soaking up the sun on the hottest day of the year so far.
And the band could be heard around the city when they got on stage, with people saying they were listening from their gardens or while waiting for the bus.
