A 64-year-old
UK man was arrested in connection with the
plane crash that killed Argentinian soccer star
Emiliano Sala, according to a report.
Dorset
police announced the North Yorkshire man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of manslaughter by an unlawful act, BBC reported. His name was not immediately released.
“He is assisting with our inquiries and has been released from custody under investigation,” police said, according to ITV News.
Sala, who had been signed to Cardiff City, had been flying to join his new team in January when the plane crashed. The 28-year-old forward perished along with the plane’s pilot, David Ibbotson.
