Radio City Music Hall on Wednesday for the premiere of the
HBO hit’s final season.
actress Gwendoline Christie — whose character is a powerful knight — cut a striking figure in the flowing silken confection. She was joined on the red carpet by Emilia Clarke, who plays Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen.
A lucky audience of cast, crew and creatives were on hand to celebrate the start of the eighth and last season. Outside the theater, hundreds of fans went wild as a dapper Peter Dinklage — who plays Tyrion Lannister — strode in.
The final six episodes took 10 months to film and cost $15 million an episode.
Missing from the excitement was Queen Cersei. Lena Headey, who plays the evil royal, cursed up a storm on Instagram in explaining she could not attend due to illness.
“Gutted. Heartbroken and f–ked off, still doesn’t cover my disappointment at not being able to travel to NYC for our final premiere tonight.
