Los Angeles Lakers fans made their feelings known at the end of the game against the
Los Angeles Clippers to leave them with a near impossible mission to reach the playoffs
Many were calling it a must-win game for the Lakers prior to tip-off after suffering another shock defeat at the weekend, this time to the Phoenix Suns.
Any chance of reaching the playoffs will rely on wins against those teams below them and especially those they're trying to chase.
But the Lakers couldn't get it done against their city rivals, leaving them now five games back from the eighth seed.
And Laker fans made sure they're voices were heard in the final seconds of the game as they loudly booed their team off the court.
To add insult to injury, Patrick Beverley could be seen taunting the crowd for booing their team by waving his arms in the air.
Their night was made worse by the fact that both the Sacramento Kings and San Antonio Spurs were also able to pick up a win.
The Lakers were facing an uphill battle even before tip-off when it was revealed just moments before the game that Brandon Ingram would not play.
The 21-year-old has averaged nearly 28 points per game since the All-Star break, but Luke Walton said he was out due to shoulder soreness.
However, the Lakers kept close with the Clippers for the majority of the game with Rajon Rondo scoring a season-high 24 points and getting a triple-double.
But any chance of launching a comeback in the fourth quarter was severely hampered when Kyle Kuzma went down screaming in agony after seemingly twisting his ankle.
The Lakers were down by eight at that point, but Kuzma leaving the court seemed to deflate the entire roster.
And the Clippers were able to take full advantage and see out the game for the win.
