Grammys 2019 took place in Los Angeles yesterday. As musical talent gathered in order to hear which acts were to be announced as the winners of this year’s prestigious gongs, Joy Villa was spotted sending a huge vote of support to Donald Trump and the US President’s controversial plans for a border wall between the US and Mexico.

With the world’s paparazzi waiting to capture their outfits, stars attending the Grammy Awards will be well aware that fans from across the globe would be taking a look at what they decided to wear. It seems that Joy Villa knew that all too well, making a very explicit statement through her outfit choice last night. The 27-year-old singer and songwriter, known by her stage name Princess Joy Villa, issued a message of support to the political figure Donald Trump, by wearing a dress which depicted a wall. Her white floor length gown had been emblazoned with black lines to symbolise the brick work.
And, as she turned to face away from the camera, she unveiled her very clear statement.
“Build the wall,” red lettering on the back of the gown read.
As part of the bizarre ensemble, she also sported a barbed wire look around her shoulders.
Joy also wore a headpiece which featured eight silver prongs stemming from a headband.
She also carried a red clutch bag, and in white, it was adorned with Donald Trump’s slogan: “Make America Great Again”.
The US saw a government shutdown in recent months, after Congress failed to agree on a budget, which included funds for the building of a wall at the US and Mexico border.
While the controversial outfit may have seemed very unusual amongst other stars’ red carpet attire, Joy wasn’t the only one to make a very obvious nod of support to President Trump, 72.

Ricky Rebel also stepped out at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards in a politically themed get-up.
As well as wearing white trousers and a high-neck shirt, the American singer-songwriter and dancer donned a pro-Trump jacket.
On the front of the jacket, the message read: "Keep America great.”
And, on the reverse, the name Trump had been emblazoned across it.
The Grammys 2019 is not the first time that celebrities have used the platform in order to air their views on a political issue.

In fact, two years ago, Joy arrived at the Grammy Awards 2017, wearing a red, white, and blue MAGA dress.
A year later, the California-born Republican wore a white dress which featured a hand-painted baby lying inside of a rainbow uterus.
Campaigning against abortion, the singer also held a handbag which was bearing the slogan, “Choose Life”.
Elsewhere on the red carpet, a number of celebrities including Cardi B and Kylie Jenner seemed to miss the mark.
But, there were plenty of style awards to be won, with Lady Gaga and Alicia Keys making the list of the best dressed attendees.

Mary Trump 'energized' as uncle 'Donald's campaign spirals into chaos'
Mar 29, 2024
Donald Trump's campaign is in chaos, and his niece says she's energized.Mary Trump, the niece of the former president and a psychologist by trade, has previously been critical of her uncle. On Thursday, she said her uncle's failures are adding up.ALSO READ: A neuroscientist reveals how Trump and Biden's cognitive impairments are different"As the RNC’s fundraising falters and Donald’s campaign spirals into chaos, I am energized!" she said in a Substack post. She then continued:"When Donald dominates the news cycle, it’s hard not to feel overwhelmed. Every bad headline has a negative impact. But then I remember something crucial: There’s usually more to the story than meets the eye. I’m determined to cut through the media noise and share with you all the good that happened this week. These are the headlines we need to remain energized and hopeful that the media largely ignored."Mary Trump goes on to highlight President Joe Biden's recent fundraising hauls."President Biden’s $155 million+ war chest has just received another turbo boost, bringing the total of cash on hand to at least $180 million. (By comparison, between his campaign and the RNC, Donald barely has over $50 million — and continues to drain the accounts to cover his absolutely staggering legal expenses)," she wrote. "This is a development that could significantly increase Biden’s ability to influence the narrative in crucial swing states."This, she says, also tells us a lot about voter excitement for Biden."While critics have expressed doubts about the degree to which the Democratic base is fired up as compared to 2020, today’s $25 million fundraiser, raised with donations ranging from $250 to $500,000, should put any doubts to rest — yes, we are absolutely behind President Biden and Vice President Harris and we’re in this fight until the end," she wrote.Read the full post here.
