Mathew Horne has reportedly been hit by a train after a night out in the pub.
The 40-year-old was claimed to have been clipped by a train on a level crossing just before Christmas.
One friend said it was a "miracle" he's alive after being knocked backwards by the passenger train, according to The Mirror.
Horne was said to be making his way back to his parents' house in Nottinghamshire on December 20, when he was hit by the East Midlands Trains service.
A duty manager at The Nelson pub where he'd just left before the incident said: “It was a really, really unfortunate accident and it could have been a lot worse. We are all glad that it wasn’t.
"He was obviously very shaken up but he’s alright now. He’s got a bit of a scratch on him but no underlying issue there whatsoever."
They added to The Sun: “Mathew wasn’t taken to hospital. The police had to be called just because of the nature of the incident. But they were just glad that he wasn’t harmed.”
East Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed someone was treated at the scene and didn't need to be taken to hospital.
British Transport Police said the incident was reported at 22.37pm and was being treated as non-suspicious.
The crossing, which is usually used by dog walkers to get to the fields behind the pub, has warning signs positioned at both ends.
Just three days later, villagers reportedly said they saw Mathew, who played Gavin Shipman in the BAFTA winning comedy series, watching a football match at another local pub.
Meanwhile, the actor is thought to have recently split from his fiancée Evelyn Hoskins just a few months after they got engaged.
Wales Online has contacted a representative for Mathew for comment.
