Ever since the teaser for
Ariana Grande's 'thank u, next' video was released, we've been eagerly anticipating all the potential (but polite, as per Ariana's personal brand) tea it could spill.
And finally our nosy prayers were answered and the full, glorious, perfect video was released Friday November 30. The Mean Girls themed masterpiece features legit Aaron Samuels, Kris Jenner, Jennifer Coolidge and so many other living legends. And, fortunately for us snoopers, the Internet has pored over every tiny detail so we don't have to.
A bunch of people have pointed out a very important scene that you may have missed, where Ariana literally apologises to her ex-fiancé
Pete Davidson. Ari and the SNL star were together for five months before breaking up in October this year.
At the time, a source told TMZ that the break up came, “with both parties acknowledging that it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off.”
Fifty seven seconds into the 'thank u, next' video, we see Ari making some cute as hell collages in her Burn Book (which has been rebranded as 'thank u, next' and is not remotely mean like in the movie). See:
And look what we have here, she takes a photo of her and Pete when they were a couple (his face covered in purple hearts), Pritt Stick's the hell out of it, and pastes it into her book.
Alongside the photo, she writes his name in a big red heart, with the words "I love u always" and "sry i dipped".
It's the "sry i dipped" bit that's got Twitter all fired up, as it appears she is apologising to Pete for ending their engagement, and relationship. And naturally, everyone is very much into it.
Yes, you're probably sat there thinking that Ari also wrote "huuuuuuuge" under the photo of Pete. And I don't know where your minds are wandering to right now, but I'll leave you to your own filthy devices to figure out what that bit's about.
