THE Queen’s favourite song has been revealed by a Royal expert, but it is not what you might think.
People were surprised to see an iPod in the Queen’s living room in Balmoral Castle when she met the Governor-General of Australia.
It was previously reported that her song of choice was Abba’s “Dancing Queen”, but according to Royal expert Ingrid Seward, Prince Philip has said that her favourite song is the Beach Boy’s “California Girls”.
Ms Seward told Vogue: “The Queen is a big fan of musicals, traditional hymns, Scottish ballads and even the Beach Boy’s songs, especially California Girls."
The iPod was gifted to the Queen by former US President Barack Obama.
Ms Seward added that the monarch listens to a wide range of music, from military music to Elton John.
But she does not think the Queen has much time to listen to music.
She continued: “Whether or not she has much time to listen to music on her iPod I am not sure, but I rather doubt it.”
Numerous secrets from inside the palace have been revealed this year.
Her phone is reportedly kept fully charged at all times by her personal assistant and is also encrypted so hackers cannot tap her calls.
The Queen also owns a laptop and an iPad after being given lessons by her grandchildren.
The monarch also likes Facebook and controls her own private account.
But apparently, the number of online friends she has remains a secret.
