Oli Herbert, who was widely known for being a guitarist and the founder of heavy metal band All That Remains died yesterday aged 44, his band mates and publicist has confirmed.
Oli Herbert’s publicist confirmed the star's death to Express.co.uk, revealing he died "unexpectedly".
She said: "On behalf of Oli’s wife and family I can confirm that Oli Herbert passed away yesterday unexpectedly as a result of an accident which occurred on the property of his home.
"He was 44 years old. No further details are being released at this time. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced once that information is available.
"The family requests for privacy during this time but does wish to express their appreciation to fans worldwide for the outpouring of condolences."
Earlier today, Oli's band mates also took to their official Instagram page to share the devastating news with their 83,000 followers.
Alongside a picture of the late star, they wrote: “We were devastated to learn that Oli Herbert, our friend, guitar player, and founding member of All That Remains, has passed away.
“Oli was an incredibly talented guitarist and song writer who defined Rock and Metal from the Northeast.
The band added “no further details” about his cause of death are available as of yet.
Earlier today, Oli’s wife Beth took to Oli’s Facebook page, announcing he had died suddenly.
In the first statement, she wrote: "Thank you all for the kind thoughts and words. I don’t want to go into what happened until we have a complete picture, but as soon as we do there will be a statement from the family on this page.
"In the meantime, please respect our privacy as there are still relatives being informed of Oli’s passing. Thank you."

In a second post, she thanked Oli's fans for their support.
She added: “Thank you all for your messages and comments surrounding the news of Oli’s sudden passing.
“No details are available at this time, a formal statement from the family will be released within the next few days.”
Oli began playing the guitar aged just 14.
His dedication to music earned him a Bachelor’s degree in music composition.
Oli has been a founding member of the group since their inception in 1998.
He has performed on all nine of the band’s studio albums.
Following the news of his death, Oli’s fellow musicians have also paid their respects on Twitter.
Arch Enemy and Spiritual Beggars star Michael Amott wrote: “Really shocked to learn of Oli Herbert passing away.
“AE and ATR toured together years ago and Oli always used to come out and see us play when we came through his area.
“The nicest guy. The metal community’s lost another great musician way too early. #RIPOliHerbert #AllThatRemains.”
Singer Brian Fair also penned: “The world has lost one of the sweetest and most talented musicians I have ever known.
“Oli Herbert of All That Remains was always so kind and friendly every time you saw him and a literal wizard on the guitar.
“Such devastating news and such a sad and tragic loss. #RIPOli.”
