Google is today celebrating the 1038th birthday of the
Muslim philosopher -
Ibn Sina.
Ibn Sina also known as
Avicenna, wrote over 100 books - the most influential of which is the Al Qanun fil-Tibb, ‘
The Canon of Medicine.’ He is regarded as one of the most significant physicians, astronomers, thinkers and writers of the Islamic Golden Age.
As well as philosophy and medicine, he wrote on astronomy, alchemy, geography and geology, psychology, Islamic theology, logic, mathematics, physics, and works of poetry.
