On Wednesday, Late Late Show host
James Corden invited actors John Boyega and Drew Barrymore to join him for a segment of "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts." Participants are required to answer a question honestly, and if they decide not to answer, they suffer the consequences of eating an unappetizing concoction — for instance, a Spam smoothie.
Corden had the tables turned on him when Boyega asked, "Have you ever stolen anything? And if so, where?" The host confessed that he'd stolen a candle from
Mariah Carey before they filmed a Christmas edition of "Carpool Karaoke."
"This is completely true and I've never told anyone this: I once stole a candle from Mariah Carey's house," he admitted. Apparently, the singer left Corden waiting in her living room for over two hours, which tempted him to nab a butterfly-printed candle with the Grammy winner's name on it. He considered the candle compensation for his time — and still has it today.
Corden then apologized to Carey for the transgression: "I'm sorry, Mariah, but you had loads." Watch him explain in the segment
