Amazon decided to not sell any of Google's newest Nest products (we're talking thermostats, doorbells, cameras — the works), so Nest is pulling its entire range from Amazon after current inventory sells out.

The Amazon x Google feud is heating up! As Business Insider has learned, the online retail giant is officially saying goodbye to Google's range of smart home products and will no longer be selling ANY Nest gadgets once the limited inventory it currently holds sells out.
The exact details of the split are unknown, but according to BI, the Nest team was informed via conference call late last year that Amazon would not be selling any of its new products, like the Nest Cam IQ or the latest generation smart thermostat. As a result, the Nest team decided to not restock Amazon's limited selection, reportedly based on the reasoning that "the powerful retailer should be selling its entire product family or nothing at all."
According to an inside source who spoke to BI, the Nest team was told that the decision had nothing to do with quality (most products have received rave reviews on Amazon) and they "ended the discussion under the impression that the decision had come from Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos."
The news doesn't come as a huge surprise, if you consider the fact that Nest is currently the biggest rival to Amazon's Alexa and all of its smart home gadget integrations, including Echo. What's more, Amazon announced last month that it had just acquired Ring, a video doorbell company, for a reported $1 billion. It has also previously refused to sell Google's Pixel phone and Google Home speakers.
It's unclear if Amazon will also restrict the sale of Nest products in its third-party Marketplace, but it's interesting to note that, currently, a whole range of other smart home products are available on the site.
