LONDON Fashion WEEK has been protested by topless animal rights activists and body positive women in lingerie ahead of the international event.

London Fashion Week was protested by topless women in the UK’s capital city today.
The group of eight half-naked women chose to lose their tops in a bid to protest against the use of fur and leather in the fashion industry.
The women, who are members of PETA, shouted at the crows as they held up signs that read “Stand up for animals”.
The PETA supporters stood outside the Store Studios in London at the start of London Fashion Week to encourage passers-by to stand up for animals.

The activist hope their protest will encourage fashion fans to leave fur, leather, shearling, and other animal-derived materials out of their wardrobes.
And this wasn’t the only protest to take place that flashed the flesh to get their message heard.
Plus sized women wearing lingerie and high heels also paraded outside the event.
They held signs that read “LFW where are the curves?” and “Curves shouldn’t mean compromise”.

The group was led by Hayley Hasselhoff, a US model and actress and the daughter of David Hasselhoff, who is vocal body positivity.
Hasselhoff led models, diversity campaigners and social media influencers question the lack of curves in the female fashion industry outside 180 The Strand.
There are often protests held as fashion week events.
Animal rights activists protested a Marc Jacobs fashion show at New York Fashion Week this year.

PETA said: “PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: in the food industry, in the clothing trade, in laboratories, and in the entertainment industry.
“We also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of rodents, birds, and other animals who are often considered “pests” as well as cruelty to domesticated animals.”
Hayley Hasselhoff recently stripped off to talk about body image.
The 25-year-old Los Angeles beauty is an actress and a model best known for her portrayal as Amber in family series Huge.
