The ABC late-night host talked about wanting
Stormy Daniels back on his show and how ridiculous it is that Trump's lawyer
Michael Cohen reportedly admitted he paid her $130,000 out of his own pocket.
Stormy Daniels, the adult-film star who allegedly had an affair with President
Donald Trump in 2006, is ready to tell her story — and
Jimmy Kimmel wants to be the first to hear it.
On Wednesday, Daniels' manager told the Associated Press that Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen, invalidated a nondisclosure agreement when he publicly acknowledged that he paid $130,000 out of his own pocket to Daniels after the alleged encounter between her and Trump.
Daniels made an appearance on
Jimmy Kimmel Live! after Trump's first State of the Union address, and was hesitant to reveal any details about the alleged affair, or whether or not she signed an NDA that prevented her from speaking about it.
On Wednesday night's show, Kimmel gave his take on the situation.
"President Trump's lawyer told The New York Times that he paid Stormy Daniels $130,000 out of his own pocket and it had nothing to do with Trump," Kimmel said. "He was not reimbursed by the president or the Trump campaign. He says he made a private transaction and would not comment on whose privates were transacted on."
Kimmel called the story unbelievable, except for "the part about Trump not paying him back."
"But what kind of an idiot would believe that his lawyer decided to pay a porn star more than $100,000 for no reason?" Kimmel continued. "They didn't have sex? He just decided to give her money? If it wasn't for this ad he runs on local TV, this wouldn't make any sense at all."
Then, Kimmel revealed a commercial that resembled a cheesy local lawyer advertisement.
"Have you never had sex with a porn star?" a mock-Michael Cohen asks in the commercial. "Then you need a lawyer to give that porn star large amounts of cash! Not your own cash, his own cash. Call the law firm of Michael Cohen & Associates."
After the commercial, Kimmel joked that now Daniels is able to tell her story, it has to be "handled sensitively."
"Her [Daniels'] manager said, 'Everything's off the table now and Stormy's going tell her story,' — hopefully to me!" Kimmel said.
