The president has previously boasted of political support from Patriots coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady.
Despite his professed fondness for New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady, President
Donald Trump tweeted a congratulatory message to the
Philadelphia Eagles for their 41-33 win in
Super Bowl LII at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Sunday night.
"Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles on a great Super Bowl victory!" Trump wrote.
The president previously boasted that Brady called him to say he voted for him, and that Belichick wrote him a letter congratulating him and complimenting him for handling "an unbelievable negative and slanted media."
"By the way, is there a better reference than Tom Brady and Bill Belichick?" Trump asked at a campaign rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, in 2016.
