THE eyes of the sporting world were on
Minneapolis today the New England Patriots were set to take on the
Philadelphia Eagles in the 52nd
Superbowl.
But some skywatchers believe interest in the Superbowl may extend even beyond planet Earth after they spotted a
UFO buzzing the U.S. Bank Stadium.
According to Minneapolis’ citypages.com, on last year’s Superbowl Sunday ‘”dozens” of residents witnessed a “huge UFO”.
One anonymous witness who was driving on I-94 around 3.30pm said they noticed "a bunch cheaper of cars" had pulled over to the side of the road, and drivers and passenges alike standing outside their vehicles.
They added: "I'm so shaken up I'm trembling typing this.
“I don't know if it was a real aircraft or if it was some for a movie maybe but it was not an airplane!
"It was shaped like a diamond, kind of a dark dull gray and made a noise that I can't even think of what to compare it to to describe it.
“Please anyone else in Minnesota near midway off 94 can tell me if you saw this?!"
Citypages.com writer Mike Mullen was unconvinced and said: “People take six pictures at a single brunch, but picked the very moment the
ALIENS visited to forget their phone is also a camera?
“A real alien spaceship that's being used in a big budget movie made by aliens. Is Earth offering subsidies to entice intelligent beings from nearby planets to film here? It's a question people are asking.”
Today’s Superbowl is a grudge match as the Philadelphia Eagles have waited 13 years to exact revenge for their beating at the hands of the New England Patriots.
The Patriots, won Super Bowl XXXIX, 20-17 and open as 5.5-point favorites (and some sportsbooks had them as high as 6).
But following Conference Championship Sunday, many experts believe it is far from cut-and dried.
The Patriots are no longer a shoe-in – and bookies have reported a lot of money switching to the Eagles.
