(Photo by Rich Fury/Getty Images for The Recording Academy) Getty Images for The Recording Academy With just one album under her belt, Olivia Rodrigo stood out as one of the most-nominated artists at the 2022 Grammys, with seven chances to win. She collected three of those trophies, including Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance. Now, her sophomore full-length could earn the superstar even more nominations than its predecessor thanks in part to slight deviations in the
music featured on it. Rodrigo’s new album, Guts , has quickly become both a critical and commercial smash, and it is certainly going to not only score the singer-songwriter several more nominations but might also add to her trophy count. Guts has been performing well on a number of Billboard charts, with different tracks appearing on various lists. These differences could help her when it comes to racking up Grammy nods. Guts itself will almost surely be in the running for Album of the Year, and it stands a real shot of winning. The title will also likely compete for a genre-specific album award, though whether she submits it for Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Rock Album or Best Alternative Music Album isn’t yet clear. There’s a case to be made for all three, and she will be competitive in any of them. MORE FROM FORBES An Old

Lead single and former Hot 100 No. 1 smash “Vampire” is probably a contender for Record and Song of the Year. It may also give her a second Best Pop Solo Performance Grammy. Madonna For The Fifth Most No 1 Hits In Hot 100 History Second Guts single “Bad Idea, Right?” has been performing well on Billboard’s alternative charts, so Rodrigo probably submitted it for that category. The tune could bring the young star to the newly-established Best Alternative Music Performance for the first time. Any number of the popular tracks from Guts could also be submitted in the rock-specific categories as well. Tunes like “Get Him Back!” or "All-American Bitch" rank among the most successful so far from the project, and thus they’re better options for her to run with. Either track, or perhaps something else from the title, could end up in the running for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song, a songwriter’s award. If Rodrigo scores all of those nods, she’ll tie her first showing at the Grammys with seven nominations. Last time around, she was also a competitor in the Best Music Video field, and she might repeat that success as well. If she does manage to earn nods in every field she’ll be eligible for, Rodrigo may enter the 2024 Grammys with eight nominations, which will surely make her one of the top contenders of the evening.
