basketball skills and extreme height—as he stands 7’4”.The French superstar obviously tends to tower over nearly every person he meets, but his height shocked fans once again Sunday when a video clip of him standing next to Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert went viral. The fellow Frenchman is one of the tallest current NBA players at 7’1”. But, next to Wembanyama, fans could barely tell Gobert is a seven-footer. Gobert competed in the LNB Pro A from 2011–13 with Cholet. Coincidentally, Metropolitans 92’s playoff game on Sunday was against Gobert’s former team, Cholet. Wembanyama helped lead his team to a 93–80 win.
