A horror bus crash led to four people being rushed to hospital among 10 injured after it collided with a van in Essex. Emergency services rushed to the scene in Waltham Abbey on Tuesday morning following reports of the incident happening on Marsh Hill at 11.35am. East of

police , and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Service attended the scene where the collision involving a Vectare route 505 bus and a van took place. Ten injured people were assessed by medics before four people were rushed to Princess Alexandria Hospital via road ambulance. The conditions of the casualties are yet to be confirmed. Twitter to announce the Route 505 bus has now been halted "until further notice". In the tweet, they wrote: " The vehicle operating route 505 has been involved in a serious RTC. Route 505 is currently suspended until further notice. "Affected passengers who cannot use other local bus services should take a taxi and email contact@vectare.co.uk to reclaim this cost." It later tweeted: "Todays incident could have affected any road user and would have been equally unfortunate for any road user. "We apologise for the higher levels of disruption on this service recently and please be assured we are working hard to overcome these." Essex Police has confirmed they helped manage traffic and a road closure was put in place from around 12.13pm.
Social Media posts also reported a road closure between these points as emergency services dealt with the incident. One person wrote on
Facebook : "505 from Waltham Abbey/cross to Harlow has been suspended as it has crashed, share around for people catching this bus too and from Harlow today as it will not be coming. I heard the driver was taken away in an ambulance hope all is okay." A East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "Four ambulances, three Hazardous Area Response Team vehicles, two ambulance officer vehicles, a rapid response vehicle, and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were called to Marsh Hill (B194) Waltham Abbey this morning at 11.35am following reports of a serious road traffic collision. "Ten patients were assessed at the scene and four were transported by road ambulance to Princess Alexandria Hospital."
